Not long after his family moved to Manhattan Beach, California, a sleepy little Southern California coastal town, Dewey appeared as an official Buster Brown Shoes model and spent time fishing off the Manhattan Beach pier. He watched with great interest as Dale Velzy and other early South Bay surfing

DEWEY STATUE – HERMOSA BEACH TRIBUTE

Twelve years in the making, the Surf Legends Memorial statue of the LeRoy Grannis photo of Dewey’s famous 22nd St. cutback has been installed in front of the community center at PCH & Pier Ave. in Hermosa Beach.  The unveiling ceremony is planned for Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 – 1:00.  Please join us for this incredible celebration!!  Check out the additional pictures & story

ALOHA COREY (1972-2015)

CoreyCorey Weber (Dewey & Caroline’s youngest child) passed away suddenly on July 24th from some complications due to an undetected heart condition.  Thank you all for you thoughts & prayers!  There was a celebration paddle-out in Hawaii on September 12th (pictures) that was a beautiful Hawaiian tribute to Corey.  For all of his mainland friends & extended family, we will be planning an additional celebration when Caroline &
